UMAMI HOUSE

This renovation primarily focused on creating a better kitchen to accommodate a chef and his young family living in their newly purchased split-level home. Instead of adding a large kitchen like many of their neighbors had done, the client asked if there was a way to redesign their existing one to meet their needs. The result was that not only does the kitchen have the prerequisite work triangle, but also efficient storage space. A subtle bump out was added to create more storage in the dining area without changing the integrity of the original house.
